Our club conducts license preparation classes periodically throughout the year. These usually coincide with the local CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) courses offered by the Calloway County Office of Emergency Management. Details of upcoming courses will appear below as they are scheduled. If you are interested in attending a course, but do not see one listed let us know by using the contact us form.
Upcoming Course – Winter 2018
At our meeting Tuesday, we discussed holding a General Class License study course. Here is the planned schedule:
The course will start Thursday, January 11, at 6:30 pm and go for 8 Thursday nights. The last meeting will be March 1. Then the upgrade exam will be offered after the Radio Club meeting the following Tuesday, March 6 at 7:00 pm. We will meet in Room 237 of the I&T Building at MSU, same place as the Radio Club meets. The Radio Lab (the ham radio station) is right across the hallway, providing convenient access to demonstration equipment.
The class is provided free of charge and the only material needed is a license study book. These can be purchased at the first class or you may purchase them online at:
