Welcome to the home of the Murray State University Amateur Radio Club (MSUARC). We are a group of radio enthusiasts from the Murray and Western Kentucky area. Our members consist of students, faculty/staff and community members…essentially anyone with an interest in amateur radio. We meet every month on the first Tuesday at 7:00 pm on the campus of Murray State University. Meeting information is at the bottom of the page.
In addition to our monthly meetings, we conduct events and activities throughout the year to promote ham radio among our members and the region. More information on these events can be found in the upcoming events area to the right of the page. We have an active Volunteer Examiner team which conducts licensing exams after each regular club meeting, and upon request if you are unable to attend a regular session. For more information on these exams, use the contact us link at the top of the page.
Our club is actively involved in Skywarn weather spotting, and holds emergency nets on our local 2 meter repeater as needed. We are an active part of the emergency operations plans for Calloway County, the City of Murray and Murray State University. There are multiple opportunities for members to volunteer their time and resources in emergency and public service activities.
We would love to meet you at one of our monthly meetings, or hear you on our weekly 2 meter net held on Monday’s at 9:00 pm. Meetings and activities are always open to the public, and we invite hams and non-hams alike to join us!
