In recognition of his long support of activities involving Amateur Radio and the MSU Amateur Radio Club, especially his extraordinary participation in emergency
communications during the great ice storm of 2009 and his providing of emergency ham radio communications at the Hazel Fire Department at his own expense;
and also his perpetual welcoming friendliness in greeting visiting mobile hams to the area.
